2008 Jeep Liberty Fan doesn't work

The fan for hvac or heat doesn't blow at all. I've checked fuses and I've researched earlier models with same symptom to look at the resister pack behind the glove box.

However looking behind the glove box I see a part that resembles the earlier models but it says do not remove.

Anyone have any ideas? Led lights for defrost, ac work. Just when I turn the knob for the fan nothing happens.

Want to know if this is something I can fix first easily before taking back to a dealership. Thanks in advance.

Well I bought the fan blower resistor from a Jeep dealership and followed instructions. Disconnected and isolated negative battery cable. Don't have an ohm meter so I couldn't check continuity. Went ahead and replaced the resistor part and still no fan. So I'm back to square one.

Guess I'm headed to the dealership to pay to have them diagnose.

Would still appreciate any insight anyone may have on this issue.

Thanks

richd - it did turn out to be the fan blower motor. $260 bucks to get it replaced at the dealer.

case closed on this one.

I have a brand new blower resistor if anyone wants to buy it... :-)
