115v Outlet?

Hi everyone. This is actually my first post, but I'm on my third Jeep - 2011 Liberty Sport Jed Edition

My mother has had about 6 Grand Cherokees (the last two Overlands) and my sister has had 4 Liberties. Before this Liberty, I had a 2007 Compass and 2009 Patriot.

My new 2011 Liberty doesn't have a 115v outlet in it. I looked through all of the new Liberties on the lot, and none of them had them either. My sister said she doesn't think her new, 2011 Liberty has it, but her past few have.

I'm not missing anything, right? The new 2011 Liberties don't have it? I know it's silly, but it IS my favorite, random, Jeep feature! I don't even own car accessories for my electronics anymore.

Also, I have the Uconnect buttons on my radio, but it says it isn't connected when I press them. I have read that you can get a mic connected and some work, but I'm assuming mine just doesn't have any of the hardware. If anyone knows differently, please let me know!

My new 2011 doen't have a 115v outlet and never saw mention of it anywhere as either standard nor optional feature. You could always pick up a power convertor and install one with out much problem.
Depending on the radio you have in your Liberty it may be able to be up graded to allow use of the UConnect. But the prices I have heard run from $350 to $400+ to have this done. Not worth the cash for me to be able to talk hands free. As for up grading to a Nav system, well portable Garmins, Tom Tom and such are way to inexpensive to justify spending the money for a OEM system.

Thanks. I just find it so strange that they have deleted that feature.

I'm not that worried **** uConnect, would just be a cool feature if it was included. Honestly, I have a Garmin and I barely even use it anymore because I have a gps in my phone. I guess all those are awesome for convenience but not really necessary.

My 09 has one -- very convenient. However, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise control didn't happen until 10-11. Win some, lose some

Don't see where the reduntant steering wheel audio controls are of any real advantange. I keep changing the radio stations by pure accident...sometimes too much ain't always a good thing.
Now the 115v outlet may have been nice, I may have to hook up that invertor I have sitting in the garage collecting dust.

My cruise is on the front of my wheel, but I don't have EVIC control, so that's probably why.

No idea. My sister had a Limited before this last one. I guess I just don't understand why that feature would be in the Compass/Patriot but not Liberty. I'm just bitter because I love it, hahah.

Love the 115v outlet. It's great for charging video camera's, cell phones, etc. Having said that I think it could use another cig lighter outlet imo.

I'm going to add a 115v auxiliary power outlet to my 2011 Renegade but I want strictly OEM parts. There are several websites online to purchase the parts.

However, does anyone know if this will be plug and play? Or did Jeep eliminate the wiring circuit to the center console as well?

POWER OUTLET. Inverter. Trim: *O0, . "115V Auxiliary Power Outlet"-"Floor Console w/Leather Armrest". $13.85
