I am pretty certain this doesn't relate but I had an issue where on my way from my Gf's house and all of the sudden the trans wouldn't shift past 2nd gear. Made an appointment at the dealership next day. They ended up replacing my egr valve. Since then its been running fine. I hope you get it resolved.

My Lib will be going back in for A/C and heat issues it is actually the fan / vent control the fan will blow on low or high setting fine, but it will only my feet and the window but not on my face. You got me on this.

The op said his wife had the Jeep in park. Tomorrow morning or after not driving a few hours when you start the engine try revving it. It cuts at 2k, unless that limiter was removed in 2010.

My wife said that when she started the car in park it seemed like it wanted to lunge forwards without even touching the gas. Instead of stopping there she gave it some gas while still in park and it wouldn't go over 2k, I am we'll aware that reving a car in park isn't the brightest idea and of course she is now too. After shutting the car off and contacting me she let it sit for 24hrs and it has been fine since. Again, this did not happen to me or while I was around I just have her take. I definitely have no reason to doubt my wife. Thanks again everyone.

The 2 issues to me are unrelated. The not revving past 2K in park is normal (rev limiter) AND I bet when warm it will rev to a higher rev limit. The lunging, thats it's own issue.

Thanks for the reply. I am headin home in the next few days and will be able to self diagnose and hopefully fix any problems I find.

Happens to me. If I use the factory auto start, of I get in it and rev the engine before putting the key in it stalls. However, if the key is in, it does not stall. Is this what is happening to you?
