08 Liberty Turn Signal Switch Dims Dashboard

My wife's 08 Liberty Sport has an issue when I use the right turn signal.

When signaling to the right, it dims the dashboad and radio lights, and shuts off the Fog lights (if turned on) until the turn signal switch is returned to the center.

This also occurs while using the right passing signal (3 flashes) feature as well.

If I slighly move the switch slightly to where it just makes contact, there are no issues.

This leads me to believe that the turn signal switch is faulty and needs to be replaced.

I have searched around and found a couple replacement switches online but wanted to check to see if anyone else has experienced this or has any other thoughts / recommendations.

Best -Mike

I just replaced my switch. Got it from the local NAPA... they had to order (came in next day) for $68 with shipping and tax. Takes about 15 minutes to install.

Hey Billy thanks for the reply. It looks like a simple swap out with acouple T20 screws. Did your switch have a similiar failure?

No, not the same failure. My signal would randomly flash the opposite direction than it was switched too. That and flash 3 times in the opposite direction when it canceled... had done that since I bought the car new. Crazy!
