Found a local shop that will do a Castrol High Mile oil & filter change for $43 today... I will no longer be doing my own

OIL $40 for 6 quarts
Filter $9

Now I'm saving money

That's saving money?
Walmart has the oil for $25 and whatever the cost for a filter.
A local Napa takes my old oil. I just call them before hand so they know a sexy Jeep is about to deliver some old oil.

EDIT: You only need 5 quarts.

Ok, even if I got them for those prices, the filter is $10. I'll gladly pay $10 for someone else to change that oil filter.

Unless you have a good trick, I'd be willing to try

Well let me ask you this. Have you ever attempted it yourself?
I like to say if I can do something, anyone can.
My last oil change I did in 30 degree weather along with the plugs.
All driveline fluids have been done by me (not tranny fluid) and I'm a nobody, just your average 22 year old college student studying Criminal Justice.

Congrats on Criminal Justice!

No, but I want too. When I was in the area recently messing with other stuff, I couldn't imagine getting my arm in there.

Thanks!
Honestly it's easier than it looks and even easier if you're lifted or if you can jack it up. Hardest part is not being able to physically see the filter.
If your arms are too big, have someone with smaller arms get in there.
Feet toward the front of the jeep, head toward the rear, on your back is what I do. Done it 5 times or so now with no problems. Have drawn blood only once.
I don't even use a tool to get it off, just my hand.
