Anyone else having problems with a high pitch whistling noise when the weather is cold? Could it be tran. related? Or something else?

Mine did that and there ended up being some gunk on the fan belt that I just scraped off with a knife. If it sounds like it's coming from the rear change your diff fluid you'll know if there's water in it. Same with the tranny but the tranny always has a bit of a whine to it when you let your clutch out I'm not sure which it is.
