1990 4wd

2.5 4cyl 5 speed. The transfer case is engaging. I hear it Change when I pull it to put it 4wd and you can fell the difference. But the front end isn't pulling. Any suggestions?

Mine did the same thing. I have an 87 and my problem was with the vacuum powered motor on the front axle that "locks in" the front axle. Check the drivetrain section of the Jeep Forum for some tips on how to lock it permanently and or trouble shoot the problem in general.. Best of luck

Get a posi lock cable kit that manually engages from end . The vacuum factory setup sucks
