Jeep Information

Year:1979

Model:CJ 5

Engine:258

Transmission:3spd

Suspension:4"

Tires:35"

Hello Jeep Owners,

I just purchased a 79 cj5. I need to know if there is a specail tool used to make sure the Transmission is at the correct angel? The previous owner didn't not rasise it so the motor and transmission are sitting at a down hill angle after the lift was installed. Also, if anyone has info on drive shafts as far as having new ones made?

I have the same issue on mine. My brother told me that they make shims to put under the hookup for the springs & it will rotate the differential for less of an angle..
