i got 35% tints put on Saturday. also my new surco safari rack came in i didnt like their "special mounting bracket" that cost over $100 and forces me to drill into my roof so instead i went to home depot and spent $25 on hardware and im making my own. so that's an easy way to save $75 and possible leaks. im putting it on wednesday afternoon after class. its been killing me having it just sit in my garage and not on my roof the 4 DUALLY2 LED lights from Rigid Industries will go on as well once i make a bracket to mount them onto the the front of the safari rack. next will be painting the stock rims and putting Forever Black on the fenders and bumpers to restore it from its faded grey. its gonna be a busy week but it sure as hell will look good once it's all done! ill post pictures as it progresses

I washed the back glass inside and out, and added the new JeepForum.com sticker dead center at the top.

Can you post a link to where you ordered your tow hooks from? I've been meaning to getting around to doing that but I haven't done any serious offloading yet so it hasn't been necessary. Thanks in advance

I got half way through step 41 in the service manual 'Engine removal' section: (Remove transmission bellhousing to engine bolts.) Almost ready to pull it out. A few more bolts, a few checks, a cherry picker...

Well, I traded my truck in for a new Mazda for the wife. So the KJ is now back to being my daily driver.

Yesterday she got a hand wash and wax and vacuum. Replaced the right front turn indicator lens, as it had a giant rock hole in it. I get blinking signal but still get no parking illumination from that corner (all others function fine), so I need to clean the contacts out I think. Also new wiper blades for the fall and winter. New Phillips "Xtreme Power" headlamp bulbs were worth a shot I figured.

All she needs to round out the winter is trans and transfer fluid services, and rear diff fluid service. Then we're tip top.

New pads and rotors in the back. The shop didn't have the shoes for the parking brake, so I ordered those, but have yet to put them on. I've never done drum brakes before, so I'm a little nervous.
