Video of Liberty tranny getting wasted

I've got a '99 Cherokee Sport and have taken quite a few "little bumps" like this with no problems.

Repost!

That's not his tranny, that's his transfer case.

That's what happens when you're an idiot in a Liberty without a transfer case skid plate.

that video is at least a couple months old. On any further video scavenger hunts, if you see one with an H2 snapping a tie rod going over some pretty small sized rocks, that has been posted a long time ago too.

A skid plate is usually a good thing but who told him to hit that hill that fast. Stock tires are a must when your trying to go off road... NOT......

let me know how your RevTeck lift is working out for you. I am getting their 2" lift spacer kit once my stock tires are worn out. Will be putting on 265/75's to go with it.

So far the lift seems to working out great!! The week I installed it, I went to a Jeep Jamboree and would not have had been able to make it on the 2 trails I was on. The trail guides were impressed with the KJ since it was their first lifted KJ at the JJ.

I was looking at getting the DayStar 2.5" lift but thought the Revtek lift was better IMO since the front spacer is billet aluminum, instead of the poly blocks DayStar has on their lift. (I am in no way saying DayStar is not a quality product)

I talked to a mechanic friend who is also a jeeper and he also thought it was a wise choice.

What size wheels are you going to be using??

I have 16" wheels and will be mounting 265 75R16's on them. THey are wide and tall tires. I am leaning towards Dunlop because I have had great experience with them, plus they are a lot cheaper in price than Goodyears (or BF Goodrich).

The All Terrain RVXT's are the ones I am looking at right now from Dunlop...... http://www.dunloptire.com/dunlop/display_tire.jsp?prodline=Rover+RVXT&mrktarea=Ligh t+Truck

Good luck on the new tires... Hopefully you wont have a rubbing issue on the inside front of your wheel wells... I have a little but am looking to get the ARB Bull Bar which will take care of that...

Nice looking tires, I dont think I have seen them before... let me know how they work out....

The only reason I went with the GY MTR's and Moab wheels, is I found them on ebay with only 138 miles on them for 1000.00... too good of a deal to pass up..

I'll try to keep in touch. Like I said, I have to put at least 10,000 more miles on my stock Goodyears. Maybe 15k depending.

The way I drive, that will probably be in 1 year, or maybe less.
