Transmission Fluid Change

Ok, so this might sound stupid to some of you but here it goes. I replaced the transmission filter and the fluid in the pan. I filled it up to the min cold level on the dip stick and drove it around for a bit. Now, it reading a little above the half way point between min cold and max hot. The air temp hasn't got above freezing so should a run with it there or add a little more? I don't have a way to check the temp of the fluid.
Thanks

In cold temps it can take up to 1 hour of constant driving to get the trans at regular operating temps.
