Trans leak 2003 liberty

I am having a small on and off again trans leak. When I do see it, it is usually the size of a quarter. Dipstick says it is full. Question, we have to leave monday next week for a 400 mile round trip for vacation....is it safe to do so with this condition? Any ideas what could be causing this? Vehicle runs and shifts fine. THX
