Tranny Whining

What I'm trying to explain has only happened 3 times. All of which was going uphill. Tranny fluid level is fine. There is no slipping at any time. Driving up hill was almost like tranny didn't shift. Giving it gas got this very loud whining. Almost like throwing the tranny in neutral and racing the hell out of the motor. But this was like in your face. Like coming from the torque converter area and I mean louder then ****. Anyone have a clue as most times get nothing like it. Otherwise tranny works as it should with no issues at all.
