Hi, new here, my girlfriend just bought an '03 Jeep Liberty Sport, she's loving the car so far, but I had some questions. She used to drive a '00 Civic, so she's used to a lower riding car. She has complained of some excessive body roll on the freeway, which is expected since its a truck, but I was wondering if anyone knew of sway bars for the Liberty. I have been searching, but I haven't been able to find any. Any other ideas of how to stablize the car by reducing body roll and make it more highway friendly? If I get larger tires, how much of a MPG difference does it make, and how much does it help? Also what size should I get? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
From driving to a Civic to a Jeep is like night and day. The only way that you will get that "like a car feeling" is to drive a car. A truck/SUV handles sooo much different and like BV said, she is just going to have to used to it. If you get bigger tires it is just going to make it feel even worse. Body roll is expected with a Jeep. Tell her it will get better in time. You can no longer take the exit ramps at 50, so tell her to slow down or you are going to be spending a lot of money on tires.
jeepster is right. I meant esp. It basically applies brakes when in a lean over situation to keep you in control. I thought all KJs had it. Too bad they don't.
