Step-by-step 3.7 Water Pump Replacement Videos

As a lurker here for the past few years, it’s time to give back.

The water pump on my 3.7 KJ Liberty went out this weekend so I documented the process with video. It was a straight forward replacement…the video should show you everything you need to do the job correctly.

There are five videos in the series:

Hope someone finds it useful,

John / W5CYF

John- I want to thank you for doing this video.Im sure a lot of people will no doubt use this. The only problem is you have to change your title to say 3.7 not 3.8,they are completly differant engines.Once again thanks and hopefully they came make this a sticky.Good Job.

Good Grief !!!! You are right, what was I thinking. This is a 3.7 engine. I was asleep at the wheel when I put the title on the videos. I am taking them down and reposting them with the correct title.

It may be a few days before, I get them back up.

All the best,

John / W5CYF

I modified your thread to say 3.7 but the Youtube video needs to be relinked.

How about a how to section where we can put common maintenance procedures or repairs? Would that be good?

Got the radiator swapped out already. Wasn't bad. I think the only socket I used was a 10mm.

Thank you for the video John. Excellent work. I do have a question and a comment.

1. Do you worry about anti-freeze type? It looked like you just used off the shelf as compared to what Chrysler recommends. Which of course is more$$.

2. I also replace the idler pulley bearings if it has been awhile since the belt has been off. I love the life span of serpentine belts but if there is a failure you are on the side of the road real quick.

Thanks for fixing the link, id like to wait until you guys get the rest of the videos up there. I don't want to add an incomplete walk-through and then it never gets updated. Once all the steps are up ill gladly post it in. Good walk-through on the first part though. Keep up the good work.
