Speakers/Subwoofer/amps???

Ok, so I think I have decided that I need to up grade the stereo, any suggestions on speakers and is the Mopar sub any good? I have thought about the infinity since they have the compact Basslink sub, I think it may fit under the seat and if it does not I can still make a quick disconnect for it as the amp is built in. Others are JL (way expensive, sub alone is $650, no amp cool box though) Boston Acoustic and Alpine. Some suggestions would be great based on experience. Oh placement and brand of amps as well would be great. Does anyone know if you can mount anything in the rear door?

I have an MTX 12in 7500 with a 400 watt amp. Takes up about 3/8 of the trunk. I still have the stock tweeeeters and front speakers but I have MTX rear speakers. I need to replace the front speakers and tweeeeeters and put an amp on them. I have a crappy pioneer DEH-p660 Headunit, but it doesnt play mp3's. I was stupid at the time and wanted a HU not knowing any better. Paid like $300 for that piece of crap too.

Sorry yeah I have the stock head with the in dash 6 disc changer. I kinda want to keep it so that it does not stand out that I have better stuff..... I may change it down the road but I think the speakers will make the bigest difference.

Changing out the speakers and putting an amp on those will make a world of difference. Only thing is, the tweeters are connected to an amp thats on the frront speakers. So if you change those out, you would need to either do without the tweeters, or buy a set of components.

buy a set of components for the front. i would suggest diamonds, or at the very least a set of infinity components.

and to keep your head unit and run a sub, you will need a signal convertor. they run about 30 bucks or so.

Any particular brand of converter and I would just use that for the sub to the amp on the sub and leave the rest with the new speakers?
