Replace Side-View Mirror Lens

Doin' a little off-roading the other day and I whacked my passenger side-view mirror into a tree. Just the glass lens fell off, not the whole assembly. The housing for the mirror and the motor seem to be intact, and the motor still works, so I hate to replace the whole assembly. Does anyone know how the mirror mounts to the housing. I can't find the mirror (or whats left of it) so I can't tell, and I don't want to risk breaking the driver-side one trying to figure it out. I know you probably can't buy just them mirror itself, so I guess I am heading for the junkyard, but I would like to have an idea as to how to re-attach it if I find one. Thanks in advance.

Try an auto glass shop. They may be able to replace it for cheap.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I lost the plastic holder the lens fits into as well.

eh, call the dealership and ask if they sell just the glass. I know that in my Mom's XJ the mirror glass is in the plastic thing, and the plastic thing clips into the mirror.
