Removing shift knob on 2009 Jeep Liberty

How do you remove a shift knob from a 2009 Jeep Liberty. Does anyone know a good source for new ones.

See here for a "how to" article for removing the shift knob on an automatic KK.

remove shift knob

I just removed the shift knob from my 2005 Liberty Sport with the 6-speed manual transmission. The knob is spring mounted: push down hard, twist 90-degress clockwise, then lift up. Easier to see if you pry off the shifter boot and peel it back up over the knob.

2005=KJ and correct forum, 2009=KK and wrong forum. Just saying.
