I think I got that a couple of years ago. It could be another one.

Two or three or years ago if I recall correctly it was a recall on the recalled lower ball joints.

Yeah everybody is getting these notices over the last week or so. At least everybody in the Northeast or where they get snow and use salt on the roads.

The recall a few years ago was for the lower ball joints.

The funny thing is the lower ball joints were recalled twice.

The second time was to replace the recalled ball joints.
Now that doesn't leave one with much faith in Factory ball joints what so ever.

If I'm currently overseas with the military, have no mailing address at home and would like to get a hold of this information on how to have my Jeep fixed when I get home, what should I do? Is there a number to call or a website I could go to for help? Thank you.

Go to the Jeep.com web site > on the top right, select For Owners

Then on the next page you'll see a section on the left where you can enter your VIN so you can get recall information pertaining to your Jeep.

I believe they do have a phone number there you can call too.

The first recall was for lower ball joints, the new one is upper ball joints which is the whole control arm.

Actually there was TWO recalls for the lower ball joints as I have stated a couple of posts back.

Both have been performed on my Jeep before I decided to replace them with Moog ball joints.

yeah my 03 was made 03/03 and I am guessing my thunk/noise problem is related to the problem of the recall... thanks Chrysler....

I looked up my 2007 KJ on jeep.com to see if I had any incomplete recalls and it said there were none. Interesting! I guess mine doesn't pertain to this issue? I sure hope not!
