Rear quarter panel replacement?

Hey My friend wrecked her jeep in the storm we had the other day, the passenger side rear section is screwed up from hitting a tree. I have a picture of it below she sent me . Does anyone know if this panel is replaceable like spot welds/bolts or what? I guess It'd be called a rear quarter panel. It looks as if it has a seem at the top so I was thinking maybe it's just spot welded inside the door jam or something....

If not then It'll have to be patched up with 2 new windows and a taillight and driven the way it is as she is a broke highschool kid like myself. I did find someone local parting out a High mileage silver Liberty with a blown Engine that has a nice body so I could get that panel and use it to repair her jeep if it's possible.....

Thanks for any help.

Brandon

i'm taking it that she only had liability insurance so they are going to give her nothing or fix it? insurance would probably total out the jeep. there really isn't any easy fix. you would have to cut out that section and weld a new clip in. seal it up and then paint it.
here is a link to my liberty that i bought wrecked and rebuilt. mine was hit alittle harder and the roof was bent along with everything else in the rear, all the door were also touching each other.

Yea i knew someone was gonna ask that.

Liability is all she has.....And i thought the same thing even if she had "real" insurance it'd be totaled.... I'm fortunate my parents help me out for insurance even for my old beater as i i call it..

I found a new outer Quarter on ebay I thought maybe it was spot welded on or something.

Not totaled by any means, looking at about a $3500 reapair bill. The quater panel is replaceable, lots of spotwelds to cutout. You will need a welder and some special glue to put the new panel back on.Done many myself on other vehicles, not hard just very labor intensive and trying to use a used quater panel is a waste of time.
