RB1 GPS problem

I have an rb1 on my 02 Liberty works great till my battery went out. I guess my biggest mistake is jump starting my Jeep. Now radio and cd works but everytime I switch to gps the screen flickers and almost seems like it reboots itself back to the Jeep logo. Is it safe to say I fried the thing or is there a fix or can it be fixed?

Try removing the dvd, put it back in and let the system reset,

I was advised on my wife's suv (sadly not a Jeep) to use those cig-lighter jumpers, you know, from lighter socket to lighter socket, mainly because, jumping from the battery can cause a short in the computer, affecting other items throughout the vehicle. I tried it one, takes just a little bit longer but works just as good., Plus... much easier to haul around.
Think about that for the next time.
