Po put in the cheap hid's. one goes out intermittently. It drive's me crazy.

I like how bright the lights are but it's not something I would have done. Anyone have an issue like this with the hid's? How do I find out what kind of bulb to use if one needs to be replace, are they a one size fits? How hard is it to take them out and put it back to original? I don't want a light that goes off when it feels like it. I don't think he did anything other than the cheap kit, I don't think they are the real complete conversion.

Any ideas? I have no experience with these.

Remove them and reinstall the original bulbs

All depends on how they did it.
Most are just hacked together
so yes you may have to but well worth it in the long run

In the cheap kits the ballast ****s out pretty fast from cheap inturnals order new Ballast an you'll be all set

Also they are like stock bulbs each one has part number. Ie 9004-9005-9006-9007 h1 h3 an so one. EBay new kit 30 buck. Xltrana or something along those lines makes a good kit. Just be for warned hids in stock housing is illgeal


No wiring to switch its all plug an play. Bulbs plug into ballast then ballast connects to factory headlight plug

I'll check to see how he did it tomorrow. If I can easily go back to original I'd like to. I'm not a big fan of the look of the hid's on top and standard original driving lights on bottom. I do like the brightness of the hid's but I'm not sure a cheap kit is safe. I thinks the light may not be concentrated in the right areas and just scatter blinding other drivers. I haven't had an issue in the little night driving I've done tho. I do think original is probably the way to go if it's easy enough.

I just had surgery and have another in 2 weeks so I can't dig into anything hard right now. If it's a mess it will have to wait. The Po did a few repairs and improvements that are not really the best work so who knows what he did on the lights.
