overheating help needed

I put a new water pump in last night now she's overheating. I topped up the coolant but it doesn't seem to be pumping.

A lot of times you can get an airlock in the coolant system. Why did you replace the water pump, to begin with?

make sure its cold, remove the plug from the housing the upper radiator hose connects to on the block. fill with coolant using a funnel until full. replace plug. remove the cap on the filler reservoir, be sure it has coolant up to the cold line. start and run with cap off and heater on until you see steam coming from the reservoir opening let it run for 10-15 more minutes a then replace the cap. the air should have "burped out" by now.
