Ome hd lift

I am new to this and I'm sure there is a thread already on here somewhere but can't find it. But I have an 05 right now that is currently stock. I am looking to do the OME HD lift on it. My question is, what all do I need to to this lift? I was on jba and found the lift but not too sure what else is need to do the lift? Thank you in advance.

I just did this lift a couple days ago. Get the teraflex bumpstops, I would suggest the JBA 4.5 UCA's, and go to any sporting goods store and buy two hockey pucks for rear bumpstops

I also contacted a nearby offroad shop (ok4wd) and they said it would be $1407.63 and that includes install bumpstops and alignment. Is that reasonable. I don't have any tools to do this myself or the knowledge anymore.

I will take me awhile to do all this as I have to buy parts over time but I wanted to get the idea of what all I needed. Thanks you for your input.

Sounds like the price for a spacer lift - not a spring/shock lift.

Double check what they're quoting you.

Nope that's the actual lift and all. If you go onto ok4wd.com check out their ome lift. I thought it didn't sound right either but they said that's what it is. I even had them print out the quote just for record so they don't jack the price.

Yeah that's what I'm assuming. Dunno if that's too much. Never done anything like it.

OK4WD sells the OME kit for $850 for some reason and everyone else sells it for $750. They're probably also charging you too much for bumpstops. See if they'll give you a price for just the labor if you supply the parts. My thought is no since I've been at their shop before and they want you to buy all the parts from them, which seem overpriced.

For what it's worth I think they quoted me around $475 or so for a lift install and alignment, no parts. I thought it might be somewhat reasonable, but a bit high. Me and a friend are going to install a lift on my KJ in the spring and he's only charging me a bottle of scotch Really can't beat that!

If you or a friend have access to any space at all to do a lift, you will be miles ahead to buy the basic tools, jack, and stands. These are not really hard to do. Never touched a IFS 4x4 myself before doing my 05 KJ, from experience I can say you will learn so much about your rig.

Lots of folks here can even help walk you through it.

There is a small tutorial up top of this forum.

475 is reasonable for lift install and with the alignment included
Alignments 75 or so depending on where you are
100 bucks an hour for 4 hours labor

I have heard it is possible to do a lift on one in your home garage
