Oil Pressure Switch Question

Looking to replace the oil pressure switch on our 3.7. Never done this before and I'm curious to know, will oil start pouring out if I remove the old switch with oil still in the engine? Is there a torque setting once I get the new one in? Any info from those who've replaced theirs would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do yourself a huge favor and get one from a local dealer as most of the ones I have seen from the local parts stores tend to leak badly.
Some oil will pour out of it when you unscrew it with or without oil in the oil pan since it is threaded into a oil passage in the block.

Thank, I just picked up a new one at the dealer. Any thoughts on whether I should use teflon tape or just rely on the thread compound that already comes on the threading?

Just install it they are shipped with a sealer that will still allow it to ground properly.
