Oil Filter

Removing the oil-drain plug is NOT the problem.
The air filter is NOT the problem.

It's the oil filter that's hard to remove.

If you have a tranny skid, it can be kinda tricky to get the plug off.

Whenever you do get the filter off, you might try using the larger oil filter that Chrysler used to specify for the big V8's.

I believe the current filter is the "shorty" style PH16 (Fram number) and the larger filter is PH8.

The larger filter just has about a 2" deeper body, so that it's much easier to grab onto with your hands or the wrench. It also holds a bit more oil, so your oil changes will take a bit more oil to fill the crankcase properly as a result.

Another benefit of the larger filter is that it has a larger filter element inside for educed restriction and more pressure to the bearings.
