Need to mount license plate on front bumper

Changing registration to a state that requires front and rear license plates. As far as I can tell my stock 07 liberty doesn't have a place to mount it. Are there brackets I can buy, or will I be stuck drilling into the bumper?

I have a front License Plate Holder. It came with my KJ and should be available at the dealer. Give them a call.

Is it secured right to the bumper by drilling/screwing it on through the plastic?

I drilled small holes in the plastic cover and screwed the tag in. Took 2 minutes and is still working just fine.

I bought the stock one for my 2005 Renegade from the dealer. It was about $38 as I recall. Expensive, but to me it looks good.

I live in CT and we have to have front and rear license plates on the car also, if the car doesn't come from the factory with a spot in the front for your plate it is ok. I've been told, and it seems to work here.

I don't think that is true. I live in CT also, and recently I got stopped in my 1974 TVR because it didn't have a front plate (no place to mount one). The officer was extremely nice and told me that he loved the car and wasn't going to give me a ticket. Unfortunately, he said, there are those on the force that would be more than happy to ticket me. I think it is a low priority, but still a ticketable offense.

I'm in Connecticut too. AN SOB state trooper pulled me over in my Corvette in the opposing lane at a traffic light for having no front plate. He admitted that he looked for high performance\exotic cars to hassle if they don't display both plates. He broke my stones and made it feel he was doing me such a favor by giving me a written warning. Like they have nothing better to do.
I only hope I don't get my balls busted by the cops now that I picked up an '06 Renegade in NY and have only their crappy NY transit plate taped to my tinted rear window. It's almost unreadable its so dark. It'll take a week or so to get my CT tags front and rear.

You will be fine. In Maryland we require both front and rear, and if you come with out of state tags and dont have a front they cannot ticket you.
