Low Pressure switch

My wifes jeep just had the low pressure light come on. She shut it down and had it towed home.It was maybe 1/2 quart low on oil so i filled it up and restarted it.

My question it the light comes on does the computer make it run different.Like a safe mode,I'm trying to decide if i should take it in or just replace the sending unit.

It is a 2002 with 60k.

Thanks
Bill
