with the tire swing on
have the tire swing off right now and have made a mount to raise the spare up 4 inches
noticing the bumper/guard you have on the gas tank. Where can I pick up that kind of protection to add to mine? I've heard of rear-end accidents that have caused a gas tank explosion, effectively killing everyone in the Liberty. I'd like to add something to help protect that part, even if it's minimal..
Havent read anything on the Libertys and fuel tank booms, but I have read about the Grand Cherokees, and them adding protection/bracing back there. That may be what led jeep to relocate fuel tanks to the center, on the KK, and JKs.
And GM pickups used to have them on the sides/middle and they said it was the worst place for them.
Always some Dumb a** saying this or that will kill someone. Heck yes eat enough Tacos and you'll die but ??????????
04 Liberty, Kilimanjaro Edition, Rock Lizard RockRails/Roof Rack/Front-Rear bumper,32 inch Goodyear Duratracs,Moabs,4.10s/ 4.25 inch JBA Coilover lift /other goodies
I think theres more to those kabooms then whats said. Lots of vehicles with rear tanks out there, and nothing happens. Dateline had to rig a model rocket engine to make theirs catch fire 20 years ago on the chevys. Drink enough water, and you'll die too! Kinda like this nimrod who drove a stock Liberty up Mosquito Pass last sunday, complete with a screaming wife...
