I have lots of friends who have Jeeps and I have been impressed with how well they get around. I was driving a Suburban that I absolutely loved -- it got places I couldn't take the F350 diesel pickup -- but it was a gas hog. So, after researching Jeep Cherokees and Grand Cherokees, I stumbled across this little gem. All the reviews were good and my rock-crawler friends said they were great little climbers, I decided to go for it. I just picked her up Monday and so far I love her, although I feel the bumps a lot more with her then I did with the Suburban -- probably due to the short wheel base.
This is how she came, but I would like to add a shovel bracket to the cargo box, a bull nose/brush buster and a winch on the front, and a lift kit. I wish she was tan or brown, but the next nearest Renegade, which I had to have for the off-road capabilities, was 657 miles away.
So far I love her -- especially when I pull up to the gas tank!
I can't wait to take her hunting this fall, as well as camping. I think she can tow the boat, the camper or my gear trailer with ease. If I am tent camping by myself, all my gear will fit inside, or if the family is going, we can use the cargo box.
Cute and utilitarian too. My kind of vehicle!
Best of all -- we traded the Suburban straight across for her, so she didn't cost me a thing!
