Just bought my Liberty!

Well, I went into the dealership wanting to order a Renegade, but somehow walked out with a LOADED Limited instead! And best of all, I can pick it up tomorrow (and managed to knock over $1500 off the MSRP)!!! I'm thinking I did okay on the deal, and even though in my heart I wanted the Renegade, I wasn't totally sold on that "Cactus Green" color.

So, I guess you can tell from my call sign that my new Limited is Steel Blue, with all the bells & whistles. I'm picking it up tomorrow night and I hope to post a pic to my website sometime soon.

For any of you suburban Jeep owners out there -- are there any add-ons that might be "essentials" for the "suburban" Liberty? (I currently live in the suburbs, but will be taking this baby cross-country at every opportunity!)

Can't wait until tomorrow!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Congratulations SteelBlue. I have been waiting 3 1/2 weeks now for my Patriot Blue Limited. The dealership told me it had to be factory ordered since they did not have anything on the lot with the towing and offroad packages, so I impatiently wait...

Hey JAM, I hear you. I thought I'd have to order my Liberty back when I wanted the Renegade, but the dealer told me that they couldn't order them until the end of April. I think he was lying, but it worked out for the best anyway. The Limited they had in stock had even more stuff on it than I was going to spring for by ordering, and I got it at a lower price than ordering the Renegade (with less stuff) would have cost me, so it worked out. I've got the off-road package & the tow package and am looking forward to using them! Best of luck with your Limited - the Patriot Blue is SWEET!

Congrat's SteelBlue! I have already placed the order for my Renegade, and was told 8 weeks 'till delivery. I am not very patient, and I hope that your dealer was full of it when they said the order would have to wait until the end of April. I must admit, everytime I am in the dealership, there is a fully loaded silver Limited that keeps saying "take me out of here- don't wait for the Renegade". But I think I'm going to stick it out, and wait the 8 weeks.

I went into the dealer wanting to order a Steel Blue Pearl Liberty with the 27Package, ABS, Select-Trac, and the All Terrain tires. I ended up relenting on the Steel Blue Pearl and All Terrain Tires, and got a Patriot Blue 27G with ABS, Select-Trac, AND sunroof, heated seats, and tow package. I am quite satisfied, and it looks awesome driving the street. Haven't had any problems with it yet. Even my wife loves it, and she had her heart set on a Honda Accord.

Congratulations! I can't believe you are all waiting this long for your factory ordered Libertys. I have had mine 2 months today. We ordered our Steel Blue Limited and it was delivered in 3 1/2 weeks. The owner of the dealership asked us who we knew at Daimler/Chrysler to have gotten it so fast. Hope it is a short wait for those of you who are waiting now. It is worth the wait though!!!!!

Well, I hate to put a damper on things, but I just got my Liberty back from the shop. I drove it around town for less than a day and the power steering completely cut out. They replaced the entire thing, but it took about a week. Everything seems fine now, but it was rather depressing.

Took it on a road trip to work out the kinks and everything's working as it should as far as I can tell. Hopefully this is just a fluke and the rest of my experience with this vehicle will be better.

I am very much liking the sunroof, big tires, off-road group, the funky blue color and all the other options that came with it, but whose silly idea was it to put the window controls in the middle??????

For 2003 Jeep will introduce a special Renegade package for the Jeep Liberty. The package will include large fender flares to accommodate bigger tires and beefy off-road wheels. A molded roof mounted light bar and an elaborate roof rack system similar to the one on the Dakar concept. The Renegade package will also include special badging and interior treatment.

And a pic....

As far as I know, this site is 100% accurate with their info. The pics are directly from DC's media center, as well as the majority of the text. I am waiting to hear back from my dealer as to when mine will be ready. I think they are going to be sold as a 2002 1/2 model year vehicle. Here's the link:
