jet stage 1 or stage 2?

ok so i have an 05 liberty limited and i want to get a jet chip for it and there is stage 1 and stage 2.

stage 2 is suppose to give the maximum horsepower and torque versus stage 1 but it says use of 180 thermostat and 91 fuel

im going to put in the thermostat but do i have to use the 91 fuel or will it still work with regular fuel?

anyone with these jet chips?

any feedback will help thanks

I just put out the same question to the group yesterday. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f28/j...07-kj-1107885/.

Surprised more people haven't used one. I would need a stage 2 due to mods.

I did find a post about 8 pages back on jet but only a few comments: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f28/j...e-chip-180785/

Keep me informed if you hear anything.

I would not really waste your money on a Jet Chip or any other chip for that matter. All they do is fool your computer to running your richer, they advance your timing by making it say you are running in a lot colder weather than you actually are. Eventually the Mopar computers learn their way around them and you will have to reset the computer again. Been there on my dakota...The best thing to do is find someone who can change all the parameters in your computer, ie timing tables and fuel charts to your mods. Not sure if anyone does it for the 3.7's

I was wondering about that as well. I contacted a few places about the chips and tuners and B&G may be your best bet. They asked to send them the chip and they will set it up.

Jeff there are not handhelds tunes for your vehicle, you would need to send me the ecu and I can optimize for better performance

if you have never dealt with dave over at bg chrysler, he is a funny person to deal with. You either like him or not. To some he is a jerk to others he is a great guy. He is just a couple towns over from me and originally tuned my dakota before other options were out there. He will do what ever you want to your computer within reason. He will not remove speed limitors or things like that. Sometimes you have to have him flash your computer 2-3 times until he gets it perfect.
