Jeep Liberty 4x4 help

The first issue I have is when ever I'm in 4 low I have to hold down the brake pedal for a few seconds before they will engage. The first time that happened I almost ran off a cliff, I had to through the parking brake on to stop in time.

The second issue is the 4wd high sometimes will not engage when I want it to. I pull the lever back and nothing happens. You can feel it, like it's not wanting to catch or something.

Third the 4x4 system will disengage by itself when I travel over bumpy roads.

Can anyone help me?
