Hi
Your jeep dealer will do it for free. Need the S/N that you have given, VIN number and proof you own the vehicle before they will give it to you.

code no longer accepted by radio

Hi, I have a somewhat related query: my Gd Cherokee 01 radio doesn't accept the code anymore. The dealer who has looked at the problem tellls me that I have to send it to the factory - which would cost a fortune.
Does anyone know if there is a way to deactivate the code or find out which new one the radio now has decided is needed?

Thanks

Peter

Hi
Can you explain a bit more? you have the correct code but your set no longer excepts it? or are you unsure you have the correct code? Does the radio now say locked?
Regards,
Merlin

radio code

Thanks for your interest - the radio no longer accepts the code that I have used since 2001 (I still have the original documents). It locks after three attempts and then says "WAIT" for about two hours, when it will again accept inputs.
