Installed a Frankenlift

Bought my son a 02 Liberty for his first vehicle. He worked all summer and wanted to get a lift so we went with the frankenlift and were very pleased with the product and the results. I added some pics because everyone like to see stuff. Pretty easy install but without a very good strong pry-bar would be very close to impossible to get together.




very important tool for install getting the shock into the clevis.


Got to have new tires too


All done. Took us about 4 hrs and we changed the brake rotors and calipers.

What kind of tires are those? I like em. Jeep looks good.

2006 LJ - 4.0L, NSG370, 31's
2001 XJ - 4.0L, AW4, 3.5" lift, 31's
1997 TJ - 2.5L, AX5, 2.5" lift, 32's - Sold

tires are Pinnacle MT Grizzly grip. 245 75 16 I have not driven it but my son said they are a bit noisy which I suspected they would be. Defiantly less expensive then Toyo Mts which are not that quiet either.

They look good. They look similar to those Hankook Dynapro MT's, which is supposedly an excellent tire for the money. One of the quietest and best behaving mud tires on the market.

Well I was told these were made by hankook. The tread certainly looks like it was. We do have a rub when turn right to lock think mayve due to factory off set on wheels. Does not look like any issue with that weld seam. But maybe that only shows up with more extreme wheeling. The kid is pretty stoked and is wishing for rain.

Frankys a good lift
easier way to install the bottom bolt into the clevis is to use two rachet straps, pulls them in easy and can do it yourself
Just an FYI for your next lift
