How many miles can you get out of a tank of gas?

I know the KJ is a thirsty vehicle, but I can only manage 223miles from a full tank of gas until the light comes on! Is this pretty much what others are getting?

I can do 105 miles with half tank (needle pointing in the middle of the meter)

This seems rather low! I have a 03' KY and after I got it, I changed the spark plugs, engine oil, airfilter, coolant. It has 37600miles on it.

I am wondering if I have a faulty O2 sensor or CAT and am burning rich. But then the engine light hadn't come on.

I drive mostly suburbs with some short highways.

I was seeing 405 miles and still have 1/8-1/4 tank of gas...and it depends where you buy your gas and what type of driving you do. Most weeks I get 350-360 on a tank or I get up too or over 400 miles.

So it's all depends on how you drive

I use Chevron Regular gas.

wow 350miles? I can only get 350km a tank. I drive normal.. no jack rabbit starts or aggressive driving.. very consistant and smooth driving. I think something is wrong with the Jeep.. but I can't think of anything. It seem to run fine. And power and all is smooth.

I do mixed driving and get about 350 before the light comes on and then I put 17 gallons in..so looks like 20 miles to the gallon. I run speedway gas 87 octane in it.

I get about 100-110 miles for 9 gallons of 91 premuim,I never allow it to get under a 1/2 a tank.Though mine is far from stock and tips the scales at 6000lbs.That is alos 100% city driving here in CO where it always seems your going uphill all the time.

I am a gasser, the only mods I have is a cold air intake, e3 plugs and a mobil 1 synthetic oil change. I dont drive it like I stole it or drive it like a wussy, I guess I am just lucky.

I'm sitting at 3/8ths of a tank left right now... and I've gone about 325 miles. I'll probably get about 450 miles out of this tank.

You are asking "how many miles per tank". 02 and 03 had smaller tanks. Not sure exactly but I think 18 1/2 or something like that. Not sure about 04. I have an 05 with the 20.5 gallon tank. So tank sizes are different.

Yep over the years the KJ had either a 18.5 gallon,19.5 gallon,or 20.5 gallon tank.

Oh and if your wondering if you can put the bigger 20.5 gallon tank in the early models, you can but those tanks cost about $600 just for the tank alone.

458.6 km with 68.4 litres ..... all city driving .... so that's 14.9 l/100km ?

ouch !

Guess that's about 15.8 mp(us)g
