If you had a check engine light, and you read the codes, that says there is a misfire in #4 cyl, there is usually one of 3 possible failure:
- spark plug
- spark plug wire.
- ignition coil pack.
Remove and inspect spark plug. Replace if plugs have more than 10k miles. Inspect spark plug wires. Replace if more than 5 years old. "Reset" check engine light. Drive vehicle. If check engine light come on again, you have narrowed it down to the coil pack.
FIXED IT. the radiator overflow line was leaking on the coil pack, filled the plug hole with the red stuff. Replaced the clamp, plugs, and coil, she purrs like a kitten now. All that headache over a 2 cent clamp.
