CRD Owners

Does anyone with a CRD have a power steering cooler? I have not been able to locate the PS cooler on my CRD. My 02 Liberty has the PS cooler on the drivers side, a small vertical cooler connected to the PS steering unit. You can see the PS cooler on the 02 by standing in front of the Liberty and looking through the front grill on the drivers side. I have the tow package on both the 02 and the 05 CRD.

Some minor differences on the 02 and 05 CRD - while both have the (5)45RFE auto transmission, the 02 has a transmission cooler inside the radiator, the 05 has the auto transmission cooler in an integrated AC condensor unit, instead of the separate cooler used on the 04's.

cooler

The cooler is on the gas engines only.
It took me 10 mins looking at the service/parts books to find this out.

Thanks,

The 2005 FSM wasn't much help - it shows both the V6 and CRD, with the PS cooler picture. No notes on the CRD not having one.
