CRD fuel filter
Has anyone tried getting the 33647 filter from Napa yet. Noticed on the wix site there is no astric next to it that says not avalible. Have to wait till Monday to check with my parts guy. But was just wondering if anyone else has checked and the cost? Noticed on the picture it comes with the plastic drain already installed.
Here is the link http://www.wixfilters.com/filterlookup/PartDetail.asp?Part=33647 LPR

I live in Tulsa and ordered the napa gold version (fil3647) on Thursday. The closest was in Little Rock, AR. Should be here this week. $25.79

Talked to my supplier Fleetfilters.com at 1-866-949-3458 he can get them for $18.20 ea. Great guy Bryan is very helpfull. Hope this helps you out. Also check out his prices on all other filters he is about 30-50% cheaper than Napa. Real good on shipping low charges. also the more you order the cheaper the shipping gets. He can also hunt down hard to find stuff for old tracktors and all equiptment.

Check out that link. You can get an adapter to fit a Cat 1R-0750 2 micron filter on your Jeep. I've got one, and installed a 1R-0749, which is a huge filter and should last 50,000 miles. Plus they are cheaper than OEM, better filtration, and available at truck stops etc. (no affiliation) |

CRD fuel filter replacement
How does the plug come off the bottom of the fuel filter?
It simply unscrews after that...right? |

Looked up the replacements at Fleet and the 1R0750 P#33528 is $8.04 the bigger one 1R0749 P# 33674 is $11.67. I think I'll do the conversion after I use up my Napa 33647 filters. LPR

On the replacement NAPA filter I heard that the plastic drain plug is already there. On the Cat filters there isn't one I don't think or a water sensing module to plug into either.

Also the Cat is not a water seperator. With all the problems of fuel these days that is quite important
