cooling fan not working
i actually posted this on the bottom of another thread that i started but i thought i could get more help with this title...
found out tonight, the hard way that my fan isnt moving. it overheated on me and so i changed out the thermostat and was still running hot. THEN i checked for the fan moving and it wasnt. kinda jumped the gun on the thermostat but i thought that was the problem. which this is all a really pleasant experience for me since i bought the liberty 2 days ago. ![]()

Do you have any questions? If you bought it 2 days ago shouldnt the place you bought it fix it?
If you must fix it yourself, check ebay for electric fans. What year liberty is it? If you have the bigger shroud on the engine(goes all the way back to the engine), you may want to check about getting an engine driven fan. Call around to local auto parts stores to see if they carry the blades and the clutch you need. The threads are already on the water pump so it just screws on, and it wont fail like the electric fan. |

That would PO me alittle. Why did they feel the need to unplug it while cleaning it?
Ive cleaned my engine many times and ive never felt the need to do that. Either way, glad you got it fixed and didnt need to spend $$ for a new fan! |
