Nope. How did you get this code? What does it refer to?

Trouble codes can be found by turning the key on / off / on / off / on (never to crank). The codes will read in the odometer.

That's not a code. I know exactly what you're talking about. It's the version number of the instrument panel firmware. (I think I heard that somewhere.). Mine is 4.4, my sister's '05 is 5.7.

Yeah I dunno... I tried the whole on/off thing too and couldn't get it to come up. Anyway, I took it to Rochester Hills Jeep, and they flashed it and ordered an EGR valve, go figure.

Hi,

I have an 05 Limited CRD, and the on/off trick does not work for me either. I have to put the key in the ignition, press and hold the trip odometer reset button, turn the key to the on position, then finally release the trip odometer reset. This allows the instrumentation panel to go into a self check mode, and when finished, you will see the instrumentation firmware version as noted above. Mine is 5.7.

Any codes will be listed after.

No, the codes will not be listed after the gauge check. The ONLY way to get the codes to show is the On-Off-On-Off-On trick, which DOES work. If you can't get it to show, you're either going too fast or too slow.
