Yea, I found out that gutting the pcv was a bad idea last night. I wanna kick myself fpr that one. I feel like an idiot, but like you said; desperation.
New pcv this morning. And I'm running 87 octane.

In Colorado, its rated lower yet, supposedly due to altitude.
