There are several locations to mount it..
none of them are without compromises..
I put mine 'above' and to the far right of the passengers feet..

It is out of the way, but I can still reach it..
(once I get it set, I usually don't have to mess with it the rest of the trail..)

I hung the mike close enough to reach it, and I can change channels with the mike..

It is a cheap Radio Shack model..
I have owned it for 12 years now..

You're right about compromising mount locations! I can not make out your photos but I get the idea! Wife drives Liberty most of the time so I have to clear mount location with her. I have several Cobra and Uniden CB radios and use Astatic mics along with Wilson Mag Mount Antennas.

I guess there are not that many Liberty owners that use CB from the lack of response I got from my question.

Glad you did though and thanks.

I don't know about you guys, but I only use my CB on trail rides, so I use a handheld Cobra (with weather alerts), and a magnetic mount antenna stuck between my roof rail and Thule bike tray. Works fine, and it all stores in my console. And it's still a full power CB.

I use a Cobra 75 WXST, The whole unit has the controls in the microphone. I mounted it on the dash across from the ignition switch, easy to reach. The base of the cb mounts hidden under the dash. I bought a thru the glass cb antena thru radio shack(it looks like a cellular phone antena) I mounted it on the window behind the passengers door an routed the cable underneath the door pillar and door sills and carpet. It makes for a very neat installation.
