Canuck looking for front hub assembly

I reside in Alberta, and have been informed that the nasty thumping noise coming from the front of my 2003 Libby renegade is a cratered hub assembly. I was quoted 650 from a local tire shop, for the driver side. I have been checking NAPA and Canadian Tire. Napa is in the 260 dollar range for the lesser quality assembly, and the Canadian Tire unit if 180 ish. The vehicle is not driven much, and not off road except for hunting on oil lease roads. Does anyone have any experience with these assemblies? Thanks in advance.\
