Buying Rack Lights or Roof Lights

Hey,
So I see multiple Jeeps with the lights on the roof, and think it's beautiful!
Where can I manage to acquire this part!

Thanks

-Josh

I'm very new here and this is my first post. Searching eBay for 2002 Jeep Liberty Roof Lights gave me this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUV-TRUCK-4x...ht_4676wt_1185

But the more I look at it I think I want to get a roof rack and then mount lights to the roof rack.

I took a single Thule roof rack bar with #400 foot/towers and permanently mounted it to the roof of our KJ.
I then installed four 8" round driving lamps.
You can find used roof racks at thrift shops etc. for cheap and good quality driving lights for good prices as well.
All in my setup cost a whopping $50.00!

After more research yesterday I think I agree with you. I want to get a roof rack and mount 4 lights across the front of it.

Problem is the $$.

I'm looking at a $350+ roof rack and I think it will take over a year to get the wife to agree to put something like that in the budget. Might try and fabricate something with a guy at work that is a professional welder.

Checked on Craigslist and found a local fabrication shop advertising custom made roof racks for Jeeps but I fear they are likely crazy expensive also. I put in an email to them asking them for prices.

Found another rack on Craigslist that is only the basket (no mounting brackets and not painted yet; just bare aluminum).

I'll keep my eyes open. But yes... roof rack with mounted lights is my plan.

This is the rack I have my eyes on (or one fabricated just like it):

I think I will get my welder friend at work to make brackets for the lights. They want like $60/2 brackets on the websites. I think he can make them for free.

But here are the lights I want to mount across the front (4 lights):

Thank you

I just heard back from the Craiglist fabrication company here near Phoenix, AZ.

Of course he took the normal 'company' high-road.. "You get what you pay for"... his racks of course are $500+ and he downplays any others are lower quality.

Expected that from a company that makes it's money off people trying to "keep up with the Jones".

Me.. I stay in my budget and buy the best I can. I've got nobody to impress with my receipts on how much I was foolish enough to spend.

Search junk yards. I got the renegade lights for 175 shipped. It didnt have the wiring harness or switch, but thats simple. Just get a toggle switch, wire, and relay from radio shack and call it a day!
