Think I may need to change the Zerks, going to run over to Orielly's or Blain's tomorrow and pick some up. May pick up a couple Precision U-Joints as well just in case that doesn't work (little 4th of July project), try to pick up some that have the Zerks on the endcap rather than on the elbow. Cant get anything into the rear, no snap or anything letting me know I have a connection. Front one it seems to be going in, but nothing is oozing out yet. On top of that all, get up this morning and my water pump appears to be leaking. Keeping a bottle of Zerex on hand to keep the resevoir full, but my plans to take a trip with her this weekend are not looking to good.

Changed one u joint by the differential, no change in the sound. In desperation started to look for other zerks, found one on a ball joint in front. Filled that up and the sound seems to be diminished. Will have to drive her a few days to confirm. Are there any other parts that could be swapped out with greasable ones that I should look for? Or is u joints, and ball joints pretty much it? Did notice the boot on the transfer case side of the front drive shaft is starting to crack, so that is on my watch/to do list.

Correction- appears to be a greasable tie rod, not a ball joint. Ball joints still appear to be stock.

Sure... TJKJ has 54 zerks on his .. just depends how much you want to spend ... jk those are the 2 most common.

Thanks, went through 2 oil changes and didn't realize they were there. Adding them to my maintenance list. Keeping an eye out for others.
