I have a Jeep Liberty 2002 and the Battery Lights comes on and stays on resulting on complete battery drain. Can someone let me know the possible cause. I have replaced the Alternator and new battery.

The PCM has the voltage regulator in it.Time for a trip to the dealership since the DRBIII(or StarScan) will be needed to properly test the charging system.

Check for damaged battery wiring also - had that happen to mine not too long ago. Needed to replace battery wiring harness.

The circuit diagrams are available in section 8 of the Service manual available in the Sticky above.
There is normaly a fusable link within the wiring going from the thick positive wire to the alternator...you need to check that although I am talking from experience with the 2002 2.5 CRD...wire is thick green one I think!
If you know some electronics you can trace the wiring using the circuit diagrams..I had problems with my harness carrying the battery sense voltage to the ECM (PCM in the gas model!)
