Cross rails are made from some 1 1/4" conduit and fence post end links from Lowes. The end links were $1.88 each and 10' of conduit was $10.99. The conduit had to be put in my vice and oval end to match the thickness of the stock roof rails, and the fence post links needed to be flattened a little too. I cut some c-channels in the conduit for the bots to pass through.

I picked the roof rack up from a guy in my Jeep club and I ended up disassembling the back of it and taking about 3" out of the rails to get it to fit the stock roof rails. It is attached to the cross rails with 6 bolts that pass all the way through the rails and attached to the stock roof rails with some u bolts. I like it because it is low and seems very stable.

Very nice, I have the same Surco Safari Rack. This looks much better than mine, might have to do it.
