Android Aux input

Hi, I'm starting on the first (of many) projects for my new jeep and wanted to get a bit of info first.

You see, I'm working on getting the stereo to make it do what it does to the ipod with that adapter, just want to make it a usb micro jack instead. (I'm referring to the song select and charge)

any detail would be lovely. such as for example, does it mount the info to the stereo to read like it does with many aftermarket models, or does it read the sound directly off the device? (preferably the later)

thanks,

Steve
