(Almost) broken ignition coil wire

I'm not great on electrical components on vehicles. I noticed that this wire on one of my ignition coils was almost broken. Would it be sufficient to cut and strip the wire and re-connect it with a butt connector? Thanks in advance!

I got impatient and did it anyway. Still, any insight on whether this will cause some sort of voltage drop or something weird would be great!

My preference is to solder and heat shrink anything of that nature.

My connector broke and had to buy a new one for 28 bucks. Came with heat shrink and about a foot of wire for each side. Your reconnect is pretty much what dealership reccomends.
